THINK DIFFERENTLY
BY: Joya Simmons

I walk into a room,
People stop and stare,
As if i'm not human,
They run over to me,
As fast as adoring fans,
Wanting my autograph,
But they don't,

They just want to judge me for who i am,
And be judgemental,
They judge me by the way i dress,
With my tight jeans,
Girly shirt,
And the shoes to match,
They judge me by the way i walk ,
With the pep in my step,
And the switch in my hips,
Then they judge the way i talk,
With the slur of my words,
That i dont try to hide,
Because it's my destiny and pride,
They look at my skin color,
And start to think some cruel things about me,
They tell me that i'm not good enough to be here,
But i already know,
By the way that they judge me,
They're not to good to be here either,
You can look at me how you want,
An even talk how you want,
But it's not going to bother me,
Because i'm going to be my true personality,
So dont let your spirit stay inside,
But always remember,
To be who you are,
Deep down inside.
